Head of Software Engineering/Head of Digital Delivery - Interim - 5 Months - Outside IR35

The client is looking for an Engineering Leader to lead the Digital Delivery of the product roadmap. Working in partnership with the Development team and the leadership team to deliver the required outcomes as defined in each sprint.

The scope is to lead the on-going delivery of the key elements on the product roadmap, critically evaluating and challenging the product backlog with a key focus on delivering the Engineering outcomes required to drive value from the proposition. 

The Head of Retail Digital Delivery will work in partnership with colleagues across the Technology function to navigate complex eco-system dependencies that may impact delivery.

We expect close partnering with senior stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure that there is clarity around risks to delivery of the roadmap and to support key prioritisation discussions. 

Delivery Schedule:

• Review the technology roadmap and backlog for the Development team and advise on next steps, prioritisation and metrics to drive delivery.
• Interaction with the leadership to understand requirements, then discuss and agree the prioritisation of deliverables.
• Ensure robust sprint planning and definition, tracking and review.
• Ensure delivery metrics are agreed, in place and tracked
• Work with the team to ensure the availability and support of the digital channels
• Guide the team to ensure that logical technical decisions are taken and changes delivered
• Accountable for ensuring strategic and operational risks and issues are identified, prioritised, assessed and mitigated.
• Stakeholder Management - Lead, manage and direct effective stakeholder relationships across multiple stakeholder groups

Experience required:

• Worked with, Lead & Managed Development teams
• Created/Reviewed Technology Roadmap's
• Delivery of Product Roadmaps
• Excellent Stakeholder Skills
• Customer Focussed
• Digital Delivery
• Operating in a Senior Technology Leadership position
• Previous Support of C suite leaders
