RPG / AS400 Developer required for a Global and recognised Brand paying up to Up to £58,000 + 10% Bonus + 8% Pension

This is offered as a Hybrid role based in East Kilbride - 3 Days in Office

You’d be joining a business with a 24/7 AS400 platform working within a highly respected business and internal team. They still heavily invest in these platforms and not treated like a legacy problem

The team are looking for an experienced RPG Developer who enjoys building reliable systems, improving existing applications, and working closely with operational teams who actually value what you do.

It’s a collaborative environment with long-term stability, sensible leadership, and plenty of autonomy day-to-day.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and supporting RPG applications on AS400
• Working across business-critical operational and commercial systems
• Enhancing existing applications and delivering new functionality
• Supporting integrations and ongoing platform improvements
• Working closely with users and stakeholders across the business
• Helping drive gradual modernisation and process improvements
• Execute unit tests, identify and accurately document defects
• Database Design Best Practice
• Provide Issue Resolution and Project Support as required
• Experience with modernisation projects or API integrations would be useful, but not essential

• Comfortable working independently and owning solutions
• Strong communication skills and a practical, collaborative approach
• The ability to improve existing systems without unnecessary complexity
