(RR144) Security Architect

Security Architect – Manchester – On site 3 days a week – outside IR35

Security Architect needed to work with a team of architects and technology specialists including integration and solution architects, you will be supporting a new programme of digital change which includes the introduction of new SaaS applications and a new Enterprise Integration Platform (middleware) into the company’s IT landscape.

As the Security architect you will design and oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems with a focus on security. Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures as well as conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.

A key part of this role as the Security architect will be to work with the integration architect to identify integration issues and develop solutions to enhance information system security. Alongside this you will work closely with IT teams to ensure a secure architecture for the company’s new systems. You Will help monitor security vulnerabilities and hacking threats in network and host systems whilst track and address security incidents and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.


Ideally you will have experience of as much of the following as possible:
  • Design and implementation of integration solutions in a business environment, ideally in a project introducing new SaaS solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
  • Experience with cloud-based security systems, particularly in a SaaS environment.
  • Understanding of compliance laws and regulations relevant to data security.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Familiarity with security software tools and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network security.
  • Ability to create and implement custom security solutions tailored to the company’s needs.
  • Proven experience of working with business and technical stakeholders to deliver suitable solutions.
  • Practical knowledge of one of the following would be useful: TOGAF, DoDAF, MODAF, Zachman, FEAF.
