Senior Security Architect

Remote in the UK - £90k to 95k plus bonus, private health, benefits.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Architect to join a growing Information Security function within a dynamic enterprise regulated IT environment. This is a key technical leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving enterprise-wide security architecture across modern cloud and on-premises technologies.

As the Senior Security Architect you will play a central role in shaping security strategy, strengthening security posture, and ensuring that systems and services are designed and operated securely from the ground up. Working within and leading a small but highly skilled security team, you will balance hands-on technical delivery with architectural leadership, governance, and advisory responsibilities.

You will be a proactive, solutions-focused security professional who thrives in complex environments. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and technical levels, influencing architecture decisions, and driving security maturity across an organisation. You understand how to balance risk, usability, and business needs while maintaining strong security principles.

Required Experience & Skills

• Extensive experience in IT Security, with a strong background in security architecture
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise security strategies in complex, multi-platform environments
• Strong knowledge of things such as, SIEM platforms, Endpoint protection and EDR, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) , Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Cloud security, particularly Microsoft Azure
• Vulnerability scanning and security tooling
• Experience designing secure networks and enterprise infrastructure
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and enterprise networking concepts
• Experience with secure architecture for SaaS and cloud-native applications
• Hands-on experience with Azure security architecture and controls
• Strong incident response and threat analysis experience
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure across multiple domains (e.g. databases, networking, platforms, and mixed operating environments)
• Ability to translate security risks and technical issues into clear, business-focused language
• Experience working in agile, fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders and suppliers
• Strong leadership and influencing skills within technical teams
