IT Project Manager or Senior IT Project manager needed to work with this established organisation in a new role as their The Head of IT Projects, this is a role that will allow you to take your project management skills and grow into a Head of Projects / Portfolio type position.

The role will be at group level and will require you to establish the IT Project Management Office and ensure over time that it provides comprehensive and well governed delivery, support, and assurance of the IT Change Portfolio.

The role will also develop and manage the IT project management standards, processes, and tools as well as project managing the delivery of projects.

Essential experience for this role will be to show demonstrable experience as an IT Project Manager who has managed multiple projects or multiple work streams within a programme or project.

In this post you will take ownership and management of the IT Change Portfolio, defining and embedding new frameworks, processes, and standards in relation to the life cycle of IT Projects.

As part of this you will ensure effective delivery of portfolio items, progress tracking, risk management and escalation of delivery issues.

Reporting and working closely with the IT Director, who will support and you guide you in this new role, you will be given a strong degree of autonomy to develop this role in the organisation working closely with business & IT stakeholders to build the IT change portfolio.

You will use existing project management skills such as 3rd party supplier engagement, stakeholder management, planning, delivery and budget management.
