Engineering Director required for one of the most impressive digital transformations in the Manchester area, paying up to £110K + Excellent Benefits

This is a mostly remote role however due to the seniority and impact on both the business are your team; we are hoping to find someone who is willing to have some office time in Manchester. (Number of days is flexible as you see fit – not regimented)

As Engineering Director you will be leading the Software Engineering teams, Architecture, QA and DevOps / SRE, as well as working side by side with a very impressive CTO and board.

There is a hiring plan in place across your teams, with you currently having 5 x “Heads of” looking after a total team size of about 85 people.

We are looking for a strong technical leader, who is comfortable managing, mentoring and coaching up-and-coming leaders – there is some fantastic talent here with serious potential.

·         Proven leadership; of technical teams, and of technical leaders.

·         A mind-set of coaching and developing people and empowering them in their roles

·         Technical skills in software engineering, roadmaps, blockers – you will have full ownership of the groups technical delivery

·         Able to work with senior executives and board members with comfort
