Head of Data Engineering – Hybrid – Permanent – 95 to 105k plus bonus, car & bens.

The client is looking for an Engineering Leader for their Data & Automation work. You will lead the shaping and delivery of the strategy for scalable technology platforms with a real focus on continuous improvement.

You will be creating data strategy and building a new scalable data platform using cutting edge technologies from scratch that will pave the way for ML & AI

As Head of Data Engineering, you will be responsible for the group wide Data and BI roadmap leading the development, delivery and continuous development of this strategy, creating a culture and environment based on creating solutions and facilitating innovation.

You will help create, deliver and integrate the new data platforms, allowing teams to migrate to the new platform whilst moving away from legacy platforms, changing the way data is used in the organisation. Putting in place technology such as data lakes and the data vaults the new platform will create the foundations to allow the ability to leverage Machine Learning (ML) in the near future.

Leading multiple technology teams across Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, RPA and CRM you must be able to deliver through others, shape the data and automation strategy whilst driving the migration to the target technology stacks, championing data governance.

·         A technology background encompassing data

·         Management and leadership skills of multiple teams

·         Creating and developing open inclusive team cultures

·         Influencing on or creating data strategy and delivering

·         Built and delivered data platforms.

·         Some knowledge of ML

·         Stakeholder engagement and management to Director/C level

·         Some budget management knowledge

·         Vendor management experience
