Head of IT
North West | £850 to 950 per day - 12 month interim contract
Head of IT required to lead a complex 100 people plus IT environment in this North West based organisation.
A Head of IT is required, who can and has consistently operated at C Suite level, engaging with board level executives demonstrating extensive people leadership and strategic based behaviours and skills.
As Head of IT you will own the planning, design, implementation, operation and support of the technology to meet or exceed agreed availability and performance targets within approved capital and operational expenditure budgets.
Leading a senior management team of IT professionals and third parties across architecture, engineering, delivery and support, you will have accountability for all IT services, hosting and server infrastructure (on-premise and cloud), infrastructure applications and end user computing.
As Head of IT you will provide critical leadership, lead operational and strategic IT planning, administration, organisation and negotiation for both the organisation and contracted resources.
This organisation has a real focus on developing its people and part of your remit will be to coach and develop the senior IT leadership team to operate as a high performing team.
You will be responsible for the Capex & Opex budgets, negotiating and manage vendor, outsourced, and consultant contracts and continuing to develop business case rationalisations and cost/benefit analyses for IT investments and initiatives.
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate as much of the following as possible:
Proven experience with aligning an IT organisation with strategic level goals and objectives, focused on delivery of supportable solution
Extensive C Suite engagement and management level skills.
Proven experience with IT planning, development, and management
Large scale Insourcing and offshoring experience
Target Operating model review and implementation experience
Extensive commercial experience
Extensive budget management experience
At least 10 years related leadership experience running an IT function of a similar size and shape with complex solutions.
Excellent leadership, development and management of senior teams
Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
